Our Fun Summer Program
Have you ever thought about what is important in your artwork? In these workshops, we want to work on our skills as artists along with putting emotion and meaning into our art.
JUNE
Week 1 June 3-7 DRAWING
Drawing is the most basic way to express ideas, feelings, beliefs, and truths. Drawing is the Key!
Week 2 June 10-14 LIFE DRAWING (the figure)
Why do we study the figure? Drawing the human /animal form improves observation skills, and develops technical skills while dealing with complex objects, Interpreting shape, capturing action and emotion.
Week 3 June 17-21 THE PORTRAIT
Now we will take everything from the first 2 weeks to learn to make an artistic representation of a person/animal. Capturing the mood of the sitter/they are historical records.
Week 4 June 24-28 PAINTING
Painting in acrylic and oil. Why paint BECAUSE it's expressing your ideas and emotions... It is down right wonderful.
June workshop will be from 10 to 3 (an hour for lunch)
$375.00 each week: ages 13 and up
We accept payments via Venmo or Check with the registration form.
You may pay a deposit of $125 to hold your spot,
and then pay in full by 1 week before the class starts.

JULY
Week 1 June 1-5 STUDIO CLOSED
Week 2 July 8-12 Beatrice Potter Week
We will be working in pen and ink and watercolor as we study this remarkable woman.
She was an illustrator, natural scientist, and conservationist. We will be studying and drawing animals as well as botanicals, We will not only be studying animal pictures but will have live animals coming in. More information on this week to come.
Week 3 July 15-19 THE MASTERS
As we look at the great artists through the years the students will be drawing, and painting in different mediums doing a range of subjects.
Week 4 July 22-26 COSTUMES
Don't wait until the last minute to come design your costume for DragonCon, Halloween, or just for fun. You will be constructing your mask with foam clay, and sowing the other part of your masquerade.
July workshop will be from 10 to 3 (an hour for lunch)
July 8th week will be $375.00, July 15 week will be $350.00: ages 7 - 12
July 22 week will be $375.00: ages 9 and up

Tuesday Night Class
We will continue with the Tuesday Night Class through the summer from 6 PM to 8 PM
